One of the main ways political parties link the general public to the government is the media. An example of this would be the POTUS twitter account where the President can tweet about current events. Political parties are an important linkage institution because without political parties there would not be a link between the elector and their supporters. 

The political party I chose was the Democrat Party. I do resonant on some of the Democratic beliefs. Some of the main Democratic beliefs are equality for all Americans, and equal education opportunities despite race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. This really differs from the Republican party because they believe in Private schools which do not provide equal education opportunities as public schools. I decided to write about the Democratic Party because all my life I've been pushed to the left side.

The reason their website includes this image is that they believe gays & lesbians should have equal rights as any other American. It also implies that the people have sided with the Democrat party.





       

 I decided to write about Kevon Delon who is running for California's first Mexican-American State Senatore. He served as a President Pro Tempore of the Californa State Sent. The image above is from Kevin De Leons website and it displays his point of view on immigration. He believes that every immigrant should have the same equal opportunities as an American. A bias statement that may be said is that since he is Mexican, is the reason why he is helping immigrants.
